It is tiny! the main way of getting around Lido is by bike or on foot ,
but there is a very good bus service The only way to go to Venice is by
boat: vaporetto and motoscafo water buses
2) What do I do when I get to the airport?
You get into Venice either by getting the transfer bus or a road taxi to Piazzale
Roma, then getting the ACTV water-bus "vaporetto" across the lagoon,
or taking a pre-booked private water taxi.. ..You can read more on our arrival
information page (LOCATION).
3) How long does it take from the airport?
About half an hour by private water -taxi, or about one hour by public transport
4) Will anyone meet me at the apartment?
you will be met by me ,the owner of the apartment. It is important that
you have to inform me by mail or by phone about your expected arrival time
in Venice and then on the day keep me informed of your progress if you are
late .
5) What will there be in the apartment?
you will find sugar, salt, pepper etcetera. The kitchen has a fridge and
a cooking hob, ovens, microwaves and other accoutrements. The bathroom has
the shower only/or a shower attachment in the bathtube
6) Can I buy a three day vaporetto pass at the airport?
You can buy a three day (72 hour) pass at any vaporetto stop in the city
itself but not at the airport. It does cover the Lido Venice and the islands
too. You can get a map of vaporetto routes free at any ACTV office.
7) Where are the shops in Lido?
The shops are very close to the apartment However there is a big supermarket
in Lido and some little mini market . Anyway if you are interested Ill
suggest you some good restaurants both in Lido and in Venice, please ask
for it when you book.
8) Where can I park my car?
You can park just near the villa free.
9) What is the Security Deposit?
It is an amount of money that I ask as a guarantee against breakages and
or telephone costs, or the bike available for each apartment.
